Glasgow Pillow
A near reproduction of a design published in Educational Needlecraft by Margaret Swanson and Ann Macbeth, 1911. Both instructors of needlework, M. Swanson published three additional books on teaching methods, and A. Macbeth authored five.

Hand appliquéd circles of chocolate and iris are framed by satin stitched lines of nickel. Opposing pairs of leaves and stems are worked in sage, while the flower petals are stitched in Dark Hyacinth. Dyed linen on dark natural linen.
