Our Website Is Finally Done
Although we announced in the last newsletter that our website would be up
and running by by January 1, 1998, things just didn't work out that way.
I am happy to say, however, that we now have a complete, large and full site, up and fully
functional, with selections from our antique inventory as
well as the complete catalogs of all the lines of reproductions we carry This includes
furniture by Hue Studios, Old Hickory and a small collection of our own designs, Mica Lamp
Company, Arroyo Craftsman, Quoizel, Aurora Studios, and the Yamagiwa line of reproduction
Frank Lloyd Wright fixtures for lighting, as well as all the best individual artisans of
pottery, textiles, stencils and reproduction carpets.
its a huge site, and we spent a lot of time and effort getting it going.

RECOMMENDED
READING
In the Arts & Crafts Style by Mayer This has become a "primer" for
those looking for decorating and/or collecting ideas Fully illustrated with large color
photographs, this book shows hundreds of interiors, from some of the most important
collections to the most casual approaches A good basic text helps to orient beginners and
provides references for further research 224pp $38.00 ppd
William Morris - Decor and Design by Wilhide This is one of my favorite books, and one
to which I often turn for visual as well as intellectual inspiration It traces
Morriss life, his fundamental contributions to the development of the Arts &
Crafts movement, and details in lavish color photography the hundreds of wall paper,
fabric and furniture designs he created His energies and accomplishments are staggering to
contemplate, and probably unmatched, even today It is said that his physician listed as
the cause of his early death "being William Morris" 192pp $48.00 ppd
The Mackintosh Style - Decor and Design by Wilhude The title is against this book It is
definitely not a know-to craft book, there is a greater emphasis on Mackintoshs
object designs, but it is no less well-researched and informative than
the Dig museum catalog for the traveling exhibition of a few years ago In addition to
placing Mackintosh in the broader context of the Arts & Crafts movement, it also
depicts, in its extensive photography, lots of details that could easily be translated
into stencil designs 160pp $34.00 ppd
The Bungalow: Americas Arts & Crafts Home by Duchscherer and Keister The first volume by two
authors, it examines,
in beautiful, full-color photographs, the various versions and local permutations of the
bungalow form An interesting introduction traces the development of the type through
history, and the body of the book defines several variations on the formula Excellent
photographs throughout 152pp $33.00 ppd
