The Prairie
School Collection carpets are based on carefully-researched motifs by
Prairie School designers such as Wright-collaborator George
Niedecken and others. There are four basic design motifs, shown below,
and different coordinating layouts within the motifs. This allows
you to furnish your home with different designs using the same motif, or
you can mix motifs for a more varied look. In addition, each rug is
available in two color palettes, Forest and Prairie.
Made to order in any size, including runners, with custom
colors also available. Click on the designs below to view a larger image
and historic details. Please contact us with any questions or to
discuss your own specifics. Send us your floor plans and we would be
happy to suggest layouts.

different, but coordinating, pattern layouts. |
| The carpets are
fashioned of the finest handspun New Zealand wool and vegetable or mineral
dyes, hand-knotted in India by master craftspeople using centuries-old
techniques passed down and perfected over generations and are RUGMARK-certified
free of child labor. Each carpet is individually handmade and may
have slight variations befitting a hand-crafted work. These variations
should not be considered a flaw, but a desirable mark of a handcrafted
product; they contribute to each rug’s uniqueness and individual charm.
We are proud to have a part in continuing this fine artistic tradition. |
