design was taken from a lithograph of the living room of Frank Lloyd
Wright's Bradley house. Built in 1901 in Kankakee, Illinois, the Bradley
house is commonly considered to be one of Wright's first true Prairie
designs. It is not known if this rug was ever woven for the house; no
examples have come to light so far. |
