The fittings for the Fredrick Robie House (Chicago 1906) stand within the most elegant
expression of Wright's Prairie House. These substantial bronze sconces, utilized
throughout the public spaces of the house, continue the globe vocabulary introduced in the
living room fixtures, here modified to a half sphere.

These living room sconces, glass globes held within square frames of wood, form a
procession along both sides of the Fredrick Robie House. The globes are skillfully
suspended in the frames by open, sculpted blocks, giving a sense of
lightness-weightlessness-to the fixture. $650

Table Lamp
Midway Gardens (Chicago, 1913) became a fashionable place for dining and
dancing out of doors on Chicago's South Side upon its completion in June
of 1914. Wright envisioned an almost magical setting of
architecture, furniture, sculpture, murals, tableware, and lighting-all
designed specifically for the project.
